Divine Mercy Available To Those Who Repent

On Divine Mercy Sunday, Fr. Altman shared with his parishioners that Jesus used examples of good people and bad people in order to teach his followers right from wrong. Some of the worst offenders in Jesus’ day were the clergy of his day. Jesus’ divine mercy is available to all who sincerely repent of their sins. But many choose not to choose to seek Jesus gracious gift of mercy because they do no believe they are sinners. This is due, at least in part, to the poor formation by the clergy. Fr. Altman then provided two examples of clergy – one who displays holiness and one who does not.

TRANSCRIPT

B Easter 3rd Sunday
4-18-21

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Dear family, before we begin our meditation, look up over the Confessional
and there it is at last, the glorious gift I mentioned last week,
that a parishioner gave to all God’s children who enter here.

And there, from the side of Jesus flows down His Divine Mercy
into those who repent of their sin.
That is exactly why it hangs three above the Confessional.

NECESSARY Mercy poured out upon us THROUGH and ONLY through,
The Sacrament of Confession, as JESUS the LORD established it.

SO, as always before, and as always will be, WE MUST GO to Confession …
to receive that Divine Mercy.
No REPENTANCE … No forgiveness. No Confession, no absolution.

And if you ever hear ANYONE have a problem with simple summation …
No REPENTANCE … No forgiveness. No Confession, no absolution.
Just quote them today’s Gospel:

Thus it is written that the Christ would SUFFER
and rise from the dead on the third day
and that REPENTANCE … FOR the forgiveness of sins …
would be preached in his name to all the nations

And that’s going to be a problem for the MANY in the hierarchy today …
those who eliminated or restricted the Sacrament of Confession …
those who commanded their priests not to offer that Sacrament.

The blood of every lost soul who was unable to go to Confession
is on their heads …

Which yesterday brought to mind a sobering thought … the thought
that there is SO MUCH WRONG with shepherds of the Church
that people have had it with the Church …
and LEFT …

So if that thought EVER occurs to YOU …
always remember that there is a KEY DISTINCTION
between the shepherds of the Church and the Church.

The Catholic Church is holy NOT because the shepherds are holy.
NOR is the Catholic Church holy because the PEOPLE are holy.
The Catholic Church is holy because JESUS is Holy.

If the Catholic Church was HOLY because WE were holy …
Jesus never would have had to establish the Sacrament of Confession
WHEN, in the Upper Room,
He breathed the Holy Spirit down upon the Apostles, saying
whose sins you forgive are forgiven,
whose sins you hold bound are held bound.

Here’s what Jesus did NOT say that day …

Jesus did NOT say this applies ONLY to those Catholics
who DEIGN to make a SINCERE examination of Conscience
and COME to MY Church to be forgiven BY Me in the Sacrament.

BUT …as for EVERYONE else … the MANY, including many Catholics
they can just come straight to ME … JAY-zus
and they’re good to go.

Dear family … God gave us a brain, let us use it.
WHY oh WHY establish the Sacrament of CONFESSION in the first place
BY and THROUGH which the priest absolves sins, FORGIVES sins IF it was SO UNNECESSARY … to our eternal souls
because we could just STRAIGHT to JAY-zus?

Which brings us to today’s meditation – our life of FAITH in this world
Which is getting crazier by the minute.
There is NO shortage of homily meditation material, dear family,
About the crazy.

As to this … it may seem to YOU … as sometimes it seems to me …
that our meditations always focus on what is going wrong.
Sometimes even I think there’s a barrage of tough news.

While pondering this though, in preparation for today’s meditation
I thought that there is NOWHERE in the ENTIRE FOUR GOSPELS
That JESUS EVER … set down His teaching, preaching authority
and said “hey guys, let’s go to the beach.”

IN a time when a FLOOD of evil is so OVERWHELMING …
that it shut down the globe for over a year
and is threatening to establish a one world government …
AND a one world RELIGION …

I would be derelict in my duty if I did not point out to you
the relentless ATTACKS that are being made on your SPIRITUAL ARKS
and try to affirm you in THE TRUTH …
which comes ONLY from … Jesus.

Which brings us to the focus of our meditation,
The words of the beloved Apostle St. John.

The way we may be sure that we know him is to keep his commandments.
Those who say, “I know him,” but do not keep his commandments
are LIARS … and the truth is NOT … in them.

With that in mind, recall the PARABLE of which we have spoken:
The Emperor’s New Clothes.
It is a parable that ACCURATELY … VERY accurately …
reflects human nature.

THE LEMMINGS in the parable … ALL follow along …
EVEN when it is OBVIOUS …
that the proposition they are following …
IS UTTERLY and COMPLETELY FALSE.

The lemmings flatly REFUSED to say
NOT only was the emperor NOT parading around …
in FINE NEW CLOTHES …
they REFUSED to state the FACT that the emperor
was prancing around without ANY clothes on at all.

Until FINALLY … finally … the spell is broken by a tiny voice of Truth.
A child – untainted by the LIES that have been spread …
looks upon the FACT of the matter … the OBVIOUS fact …
and proclaims the Truth.
SO that you do not get sucked into being a lemming …
so YOU understand the state of the world …
so that YOUR Faith is not shaken when it all hits the fan …

Hear how even the Wall Street Journal proclaimed the Truth …
that there is a de facto schism in the Catholic Church …
there is a DIVISION that intentionally has been created …
and NOBODY will talk about it …

but instead just stick their heads in the sand like a dumb ostrich
and remain SILENT …
EVEN though we know … silence is complicity.

I have mentioned the de facto schism SEVERAL times …
and had to defend myself
against those who claim it is I who am causing division
by speaking the TRUTH!
Isn’t that special?!

No, dear family, I don’t CAUSE division …
I only speak about what ALREADY is THERE …
So that YOU do not get confused when shepherds of the Church
Proclaim HERESY and act as utter APOSTATES to the Truth.

I only TALK about it to try and nourish and strengthen YOU …
against the onslaught of damnable uncontested LIES
relentlessly being foisted upon you.

It is not I who am causing division.
Rather, it is the MANY in the brood of vipers in the hierarchy
who NOT only do NOT speak up and speak out against it …
but actually are very much IN FAVOR of it.

I say it so that YOU understand, dear family,
as it was in Jesus’s day with the Sanhedrin … so it is in ours.

MANY in the hierarchy DENY … the TRUTHS of the FAITH …
INCLUDING the REAL PRESENCE …
which is WHY they so blatantly promote
the protestant abomination known as …
Communion in the hand.

Dear family, JESUS said you cannot get good fruit from a bad tree.
Which explains EXACTLY why CATHOLIC belief in the Real Presence
Has fallen from being in the 50% when I was in seminary
to 60%, to 70% … and NOW I understand it is 80%.

Remember my asking the question before –
at what POINT … at what PERCENTAGE …
will it FINALLY get the attention … of MANY SHEPHERDS?
Such that they will say … the grand liturgical revolution
post V-II … has utterly and completely FAILED.

OR … are they so BUSY to NOTICE the decline of the Catholic Church
because they’re SO BUSY with TEMPORAL matters …
like cancelling Holy Mass and the Sacraments of GRACE …
of abandoning the FAITHFUL in their time of NEED …

Of hiding out in their little ENCLAVES
because they’re AFRAID of getting SICK …
from something like 99.65% of people RECOVER …
with few or little symptoms …

It seems they are too busy hiding out in an abundance of COWARDICE …
instead of going out like St. Charles Borromeo
and St. Aloysius Gonzaga or St. Damien of Molokai

They are too BUSY wallowing in cowardice to NOTICE
that the people NO LONGER FOLLOW THEM …
BECAUSE THEY … no longer LEAD them …
into TRUTH … into HOLINESS …
into ETERNAL SALVATION.

Should we “ACT THE LEMMING” and PRETEND this is not TRUE …
OR … should we act like the child in the Emperor’s New Clothes …
FINALLY recognize, confess and admit the OBVIOUS …
MANY of the brood of vipers actually DO NOT BELIEVE …
In the Truths of the Faith?

Are we afraid … to admit the Truth …
because we think it might LEAVE us … with no place to turn?

IF … when pondering the utter decline of the Catholic Church
and the INTENTIONAL UNDERMINING of the TRUTHS of our Faith …
we EVER feel LOST … remember three things.

Firstly … remember the scene where ALL the Jews … left JESUS …
Over the Holy Eucharist … in John 6:66.
Remember how Jesus turned to the Apostles and asked them
“will you leave Me too?”

And THEN remember how St. Peter answered Jesus:
“Master, to whom shall we go?
You have the words of eternal life.” Jn 6:68

Secondly remember what we have pondered before:
that Almighty God does NOT NEED … BIG NUMBERS …
Almighty God just needs the Faith of a FEW …
Which He can take … as Jesus took the loaves and the fishes
And MULTIPLY them … into an EXCESS of need …
With 12 wicker baskets of leftovers.

Thirdly remember the lesson of Gideon.
Gideon started with 32,000 soldiers … against a mightier enemy …
and 20,000 cowards abandoned the fight.
THEN Almighty God whittled it down the remaining 12,000
to just 300.

SO that Almighty God got credit when through His majestic power,
The Midianites were defeated.
You can review the whole thing in Judges Ch 7.

So if EVER you get discouraged, dear family, remember:
Firstly, Jesus has the words of Eternal Life,
Secondly, He can take the Faith of a FEW and multiply it …
And Thirdly, He does NOT need big numbers.

Let US then, KEEP the Faith no matter what …
EVEN when it is OBVIOUS … that the emperors of OUR day …
Are not wearing ANY clothes …
They are NOT clothed in the Truth of our Faith.

As always, you don’t have to take my word for it.
It actually HAS become common knowledge.
How many times have I tried to tell you … about the schism?

We have pondered how ONE Cardinal …
DARED to urge his priests to march with GODLESS COMMIES …
the Godless group entitled Black Lives Matter …
whose goals include, among other Godless things …
destruction OF the GOD-created nuclear family …

And PUBLICLY said HE … would give THE Holy Eucharist
to Godless and damnable fake Catholic Joe Biden …
thus committing SACRILEGE against the Holy Eucharist
and serving as an ABOMINABLE example …
to the FEW faithful Catholics that remain.

And I’ve tried to tell you how the German and Austrian bishops
ARE in OPEN REVOLT and SCHISM
against the unchanged and unchangeable TRUTH …

As always, you don’t have to take my word for it.
For this leads us back to the Wall Street Journal article.

In an article in the April 15th edition, just 3 … days ago
The Journal wrote:

“The Protestant Reformation began in Germany some 500 years ago
Before spreading across the Western world.

Today, Germany’s Catholic bishops are taking steps
That could again rattle the foundation
of the world’s largest church.

They are moving to tear down the Catholic Church’s teaching
On human sexuality, priestly celibacy
and other morally and politically charged issues.

THEN the Wall Street Journal stated:
Without direct and immediate intervention by Pope Francis
The church could be headed for another schism.

Amazingly … absolutely AMAZINGLY …
the Wall Street Journal analyzed something with precision, quote:

“the German bishops have chosen NOT to focus
on cleaning their own house
and spreading the saving message of Jesus Christ.

INSTEAD, they’re trying to build trust with their fellow citizens
By BREAKING with the faith in favor OF …
The modern cultural norms.

God damns their lies.
God damns their leading the sheep astray.

AND … get this straight …
The FAILURE of ROME to CORRECT their damnable lies
brings condemnation upon Rome.

There is no excuse. NONE. ZIP. Zero.

But what can we expect from ROME …
When ROME puts the first ultimate SCHISMATIC GERMAN …
Martin LUTHER …
On the Vatican Stamp to CELEBRATE
the 500th anniversary of HIS damnable schism?

To say nothing of the Pachamama, etc. etc.

And so MANY OTHER EMPERORS are wearing NO clothes at all …
as they REFUSE to speak up and speak out …
and thus lead so many lemmings astray …

And when we SEE them do what they do …
And are TEMPTED to walk away from the Catholic Church
Remember the Catholic Church is holy because JESUS is holy
And then echo the words of St. Peter …
YOU, Lord Jesus Christ, Savior of the World …
YOU have the words of eternal life.
To whom shall we go?

Shall we go to GERMANY? …
Obviously not.
Shall we go to ROME? …
Where the latest abomination is a sponsored a health conference
Bringing together such atrocities as:

New Age guru Deepak Chopra, whom the conference describes
as a “world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine
and personal transformation”

Dame Jane Goodall, the world famous conservationist
and chimpanzee expert
but also an ardent population control advocate
who said last year the world’s population
should reduce to what it was 500 years ago;

Dear family, I looked it up so hear clearly EXACTLY
what Chimp champion Dame Jane Goodall brings to the table.
2,000 years ago, the world population was about 231 million.
500 years ago, the number was about the same, 231 million.

So Chimp Champion Goodall wants to reduce the world population
From 7 BILLION … down to 231 million.
HOW can she and her cronies do that?
Oh yeah, that’s right … create a man-made virus,
Scare global humanity with the fear-demic
And then GET them all to take an INJECTION
Of an untested, untried UNSCIENTIFIC
Gene mutating chemical.

Dear family, the entire human population became a Guinea Pig …
A LAB RAT … in the last four months.

Also invited was Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton,
who suggested in 2018 it would be un-Christian
to ban legalized abortion.

Also included are the CEOs of Pharmaceutical manufacturers
Moderna and Pfizer!

Dear family … let us be the child in the fable
And STATE … the blatantly obvious.
The emperor is wearing no clothes at all.

Finally, if not Germany and if not ROME …
shall we turn to a Cardinal in America and his band of brothers?

Memo to that Cardinal …
NO faithful Catholic clergy march with GODLESS COMMUNISTS …
And NO faithful Catholic clergy
give THE Holy Eucharist to ANY pro-abort politician, period.

Those that DO might as well ADD … “would you like a side of fries to go?”
They are EXACTLY why belief in the Real Presence has FALLEN
from only 50% twenty years ago to about only 20% in our day …

A decline of which began after Vatican II
with the introduction of the sacrilegious ABOMINATION
known as …“communion in the hand” …

an abomination I rightly term the “grab and go” of THE Holy Eucharist
with dirty, germy hands.

We are blessed here in the Diocese of La Crosse …
because Bishop Callahan DOES believe in THE Real Presence
of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist …
and THUS HE KNEW … it IS an abomination
to DENY the faithful reception of THE Holy Eucharist.

And let us take comfort in knowing that though we be FEW …
like Gideon and his troops …
Almighty God only NEEDS a few …
to defeat the MANY MIDIANITES in MITERS in OUR day.

Let us conclude then, today’s meditation,
with today’s words of John, the beloved Apostle:
to whom Jesus entrusted His very mother:

Those who say, “I know him,” but do not keep his commandments are liars, and the truth is not in them.

God bless you all, dear family, and keep you safe,
as you strive to keep the Faith in these dangerous times …
when there are MANY liars amongst us.
